Aditi Kapoor
Aditi Kapoor works at the intersection of performance, media, and technology. She holds a dual degree from Columbia University and Trinity College Dublin and she was awarded the Barbara Seward Price Scholarship for her work. Her previous experience includes curatorial and publishing roles at Champ Lacombe, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, ISCP: International Studio and Curatorial Program. She was the inaugural curatorial fellow with New Curators, where she curated Firelei Báez’s first major UK exhibition at the South London Gallery. She is currently working as a freelancer and serves as Producer-at-Large for OHT.
Kapoor leads a collective reflection on the meaning of performance, bringing into dialogue her professional experience and that of the participants. Fire, the ephemeral, scores, and ghosts are among the words that emerge during the conversation, becoming starting points for further explorations.
She then invites participants into a practice she previously explored with the artist Lina Lapelytė: sentences extracted from randomly selected texts are used as verses to compose a chorus. Through this process, fragments of language from different contexts are transformed into a collective voice, shaping a shared and performative form of writing.
