Industria Indipendente / Martina Ruggeri

The artistic process of Industria Indipendente (Martina Ruggeri and Erika Z. Galli) crosses different languages and practices, in an endless search for affinity, epidermal sensitivity and glance. Their works focus on articulating issues like the relationship between human beings and nature, the dimension of “unproductive” time and the construction of alternative and fictional worlds in which to build communities and alliances.

Martina Ruggeri’s workshop investigates the threshold between sleep and wakefulness as a generator of images. The liminal and dreamlike space becomes a laboratory to experiment with alternative dramaturgies of togetherness. Sounds of sleep and fragmented rhythms are transformed into expressive material for shared exploration.
After a bodily activation session, the second part of the workshop invites participants to create small dramaturgical fragments and narratives in the forest, guided by temporal and spatial cues provided by Ruggeri.

The gathering concluded in the evening with an invitation to the participants to create a shared space of care, exchange, and celebration, inspired by Industria Indipendente’s experience with MERENDE.
