Lucia Pietroiusti
Lucia Pietroiusti is curator, programmer and strategist. She is Head of Ecologies at Serpentine, London, where she founded the General Ecology project. Working at the intersection of art, ecology and systems, she is the curator of the opera-performance Sun & Sea and the co-editor of More-than-Human (2020).

Lucia Pietroiusti leads the final workshop of the 2024 Nomadic School, exploring finitude and ritual with participants, drawing on Vanessa Machado de Oliveira’s Hospicing Modernity: Facing Humanity’s Wrongs and the Implications for Social Activism. Against the heavy stillness of the Sass de Putia, the workshop opens space for the unknown at the end of all things. Participants are then invited to create a ritual moment through choral singing, generating a sonic cloud of joyful passions, as harmonizing together releases oxytocin. The chosen piece is a short excerpt from Under this Stone Lies Gabriel by John Henry Purcell.
